Chained to the Rhythm

All hail the return of the pop princess,
Music snobs, step aside.
After all this time away, she slays no less.
Back with a bang, platinum haired dyed.

Banger after banger, a popstar extraordinaire,
She's your Dark Horse and Teenage Dream all rolled into one.
Glitter and sass on stage, she sings and struts around with flair.
Goals, aesthetic, crush, queen, a full-time Hun.

Hair flicks and cupcake bras, she puts on a show that makes you to roar,
Feisty and fun - 100% unadulterated pop, filled to the brim.
From the catchy to the issues that matter, the lyrics keeps you wanting more.
Everyone from California Girls to those the One Who Got Away...we're all a Chained to the Rhythm.

One Less Problem Without You!

Ariana Grande is a girl after my own heart.
In a world where everyone has their leather skorts being a badass, or kicking it in there BOY sweatshirts and beanies being too cool for school, I'm usually found twirling around in a pink dress, feeling like a 5 year-old who can't hang out with the big boys and girls. Don't get me wrong, my wardrobe is as varied as a box of Bassetts AllSorts - I love trying out different styles. But in my heart, I'm a true girly girl through and through, who loves bows and glitter. And I don't know why I shouldn't be - if it's wrong to want to wear a sparkly dress and fluffy heels, then I don't want to be right!
And Ariana Grande (who's the same age as me and has had hit singles - what have I been doing with MY life?!) has a similar girly taste, and I love that there's finally someone like that out there! She has hints of Harajuku style in there, and her style is appropriate for her age, and I always feels she stays true to herself, whether performing and on the red carpet...
...or just taking selfies on Instagram. Even when she tries different styles - like the 60s touch for the 'Problem' video - her own personal style still shines through. And I've always though hat fashion should be a mix of your own personal style, and experimenting with other looks and trends, but most importantly, it should be fun, and I think Ariana compasses that perfectly!

Also, how cute is her hair?! She's had some stick for it always being in a similar style, but she's had hardships with it (it started coming out due to dying it to much for a Disney programme she was on, and her signature style is the only way she can hide her extensions), and I for one applaud her addressing it, and think it's sassy as heck!

Unless you've been living under a rock, she's had hit single after single already, and I first heard of her on her track, 'The Way', and it instantly reminded me of old school Mariah Carey.

And even though it's the middle of Summer (a pool of sweat is forming as I type this), if you haven't heard 'Snow in California', you need to right away - it's so chilled out, her voice sounds amazing and it's jst got that 90s R'n'B tone to it - OBSESSED!

Are you a fan of Ariana? What do you think of her style?

Hope you're all well,

Little Minxes!

In 2011, four girls were put together on the UK singing contest, X Factor. Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall joined forces, won the contest, and Little Mix was born.

4 young women with their own distinctive voices, and just as distinctive style, which has hopped across the pond and shot straight to the top of the charts and into people's heart. And wouldn't they?

Their quintessentially British, kooky humour and silly behaviour, along with a slick and fun style has put good old-fashioned girl bands back in the limelight, and it's about time too!
Girls groups have come and gone, many who have made their way into my life and onto my iPod, but there isn't this kind of sassy girl-power frenzy since they days of Spice Girls.

What started as a very bright, loud and fun style, has slowly evolved into a slick, sassy and still just as fun. What I love most is that they don't deny who they are, their fashion have grown with them as they've turned from girls to young women.

Their envious wardrobes, coupled with their infectious odes to pop music, they have winning combination that is dominating the world.
And why I love these girls, and why I think people have taken such a liking to them as well is, they're having fun. The time of their lives and you can tell. It's like they're having a sleepover and you're invited to join in!
Whether you're looking for something fun that you just want to dance your troubles away to, or inspiring lyrics sung by some powerful voices, Little Mix has something on their menu to cater to your needs, but my ultimate favourite is 'Move' which I have listened to over and over again since it's come out, and I still bop around to it like I did when I first heard it!
Their recent single, where proceeds went towards Sport Relief, will also no doubt make you move your feet and is helping towards an amazing cause.
So if you haven't heard of these girls or wanted to raid your wardrobes after seeing them, a.) where have you been?! and b.) what are you still doing here, go and check them out!

It's Britney, Bitch!

Britney Jean Spears. The Princess of Pop and the idol of my childhood. She has just started her residency at the Hard Rock in Vegas, and ladies & gentlemen...she's back!
When I was growing up, I used to have her CD on full blast and prance around the living room with an invisible headset-microphone, and pretend I was the pop princess herself.

After a life and career of highs and lows, there is no doubt that she is still the same fierce blonde beauty she was when I was younger.
Seeing photo upon photo of the show on social media, and watching clips of the extravaganza on repeat, all I can think is how much I wish I was there to see it in person!

The set looks amazing, with everything from a faux circus scene to an exotic spinning tree. The dance sequences are on-point and mesmorising, and have Britney working her toned lil' tushy off. And the costumes- just the perfect combination of Britney and Vegas.

Britney has always had amazing costumes on her tours. If you're going to see Britney live, you know you're in for a theatrical treat.

Throughout her carear, her videos have included outfits that have become so iconic even to this day, and that is one of the greatest testaments of a great popstar in my books.
A few of my personal favourites include her sexy and sultry look, complete with snake for 'Slave 4 U'...
...the timeless schoolgirl unifrom and skintight PVC red catsuit from 'Baby One More Time' and 'Opps I Did It Again'...
and of course, this sparkly and seductive masterpiece from 'Toxic'...
When I saw Britney's latest video as well, my 11-year-old self couldn't contain the excitment when I saw she was wearing all this lingerie with gold rings and body-con like pieces. I recognised it immediately and knew it was from Bordelle, who I had the privledge to intern for, and the fact there was some form of slight link between me and the idol from my childhood, was enough to make me jump for joy!
I loved all the attire fro her 'Circus' era, it was so playful and sassy, and now for her Vegas residency, it seems that sassy Britney is ready to play again, and I for one can't wait for the party.
